There are many ways to explore the changes in a neighbourhood over time. One interesting way is to look at the evolution of urban infrastructure which gives a good indication of how urban design reflects people’s everyday experiences.   

We embrace changes in a fast-paced city like Hong Kong. With the aim of discovering the changes in the Sheung Wan neighbourhood, an online manhole covers’ guided tour is hosted by The Conservancy Association Centre for Heritage (CACHe) for the public to uncover the fascinating history and hidden stories behind the manhole covers from different eras.
